PRAYERhouse @ Spring Harvest
The Bless Network had the privilege of running PRAYERhouse at Spring Harvest 2010. This year our prayer room theme was ‘eye spy with my different eye, something beginning with…’ The room consisted of five simple prayer stations based on the daily Bible readings and entitled …human, fire, cloud, tree, light.
Each day we led two sessions; Be Still in the afternoons and the Alternative celebration: GODSpace in the evenings. Here’s a run down of most the resources we used and where to get your hands on them.

Each morning we led a prayer moment in The Big Start. We gave every guest a pair of four dimensional prayer glasses (a strip of card with glasses printed on them), which we used to pray simple prayers.
Morning 2: UP – God is sovereign
In our worship and our prayer Lord // we lift our eyes to you
In our struggles and our joys Lord // we lift our eyes to you
In our work, rest and play Lord // we lift our eyes to you
In our sickness and in our health Lord // we lift our eyes to you
In our everyday circumstance Lord // we lift our eyes to you
Morning 3: IN FRONT – Jesus who we follow
Jesus, as you lead, we will follow
Jesus, as you call, we will respond
Jesus, as you speak, we will listen
Jesus, as you move, we will act.
Morning 4: AROUND – church the body of Christ
Our Father who dwells in the heavens and on the earth,
You are Holy.
May heaven be a greater present reality here on earth,
And may we choose to join you in making that happen.
Provide us today with the things that you think we need,
And may we not take for granted that which you have already provided for us.
Forgive us for when we don’t live as you intend us to live,
And may we be ready to forgive others when they don’t live as we intend.
Guide us in your wisdom away from the things that would distort us,
And restore the parts in us that are already distorted.
You are goodness, beauty and truth,
May your love rule always.

Thank you so much for all you efforts at spring harvest 2010. I visited the prayer room at Minehead which inspired me to return home and try to create some prayer stations in the small prayer room at our church. I looked at Alucidnation on line and have bought/downloaded ‘Sound to Sleep To’ and have visited the 24/7 website and others for more ideas. There is so much creativity around. Thank you for your inspiration
I also attended the evening celebration and though the content was good I think it would have benefitted from being held in a smaller venue eg Jaks to help create a cosier setting.
