We offer internships of 3, 6 or 9 months which include a place on our ten day Seven Stories School of worship and mission and a placement of 10 weeks or more in one of our church locations – Caen & SOS Chai, Livarot (Normandy) or Villedômer (Loire Valley).
The internship is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Cultivate your relationship with God – we offer teaching, mentoring and loads of space for prayer and worship as part of our community rhythm here at bless.
- Improve your language skills if you’re a language student, or experience living in another country and learning a new language if you’re not!
- Gain practical work experience on one of our placements, whether that’s working with SOS Chai, at Bethanie or at the campsite in Villedomer.
- Develop your passion for worship, the creative arts, languages, working with refugees, church planting, working with children and young people… and more. We don’t offer a one-size-fits-all internship but work with you to identify how we can develop your unique God-given gifting during your time with bless.
Applicants from the USA and CANADA (and others who are not European passport-holders) can apply for just the 10 day school, or add a 10-week placement to bring their total time in Europe within the 90-day visa-free limit. We are also happy to welcome those who already have a placement or internship set up in their home church or further afield, who wish to attend for just the 10 day Mission School.
For those looking for an Internship opportunity, placements costs are approximately €140 per week, so that a 3, 6 or 9 month experience will cost:
3 months – €1850 [Training Intensive plus 10 week placement]
6 months – €3580 [two Training Intensives plus 20 week placement]
9 months – €4880 [two Training Intensives plus 30 week placement]
“Having taken part in Bless’s summer bootcamps, choosing to do the internship was a natural next step for me and definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only did it grow me in my language-speaking but I was able to delve deeper into discovering the Father’s purpose for my life and how to use the gifts and callings that He has put on my heart.
As an intern, I got to be involved in a huge variety of things, from the running of church and events, to event-promotion and administration to working in and alongside local communities. I was able to receive amazing, insightful teaching and experience the extraordinary fellowship of community-living.
The outreach aspect of the internship was definitely the most rewarding and taught me not to underestimate the power of small gestures and acts of kindness. I came away from France deeply impacted and changed by all that I’d got to be a part of and would do it again in an instant.”
