PROJECT: KEYS & CO

Mylene, Thierry and Stéphanie Croquevieille are members of the Bless church in Normandie and live in Caen. Mylene has always dreamed of owning her own business, and she realised several years ago that what she really longed to do was to open a Coffee House. She didn’t have the backing she needed, or the training, but she did have a vision. Two years ago, she left her job to concentrate on gaining the skills she needed to open Caen’s first new generation coffee shop. Her daughter Stéphanie has joined her in her vision and in that two years great miracles have happened, and Keys&co, at the time of writing, has come through its first very successful month of trading. Her husband Thierry has even left his job to support her and work in the coffee shop.

Throughout this family’s journey we have prayed for them as a church, speaking life and blessing into their dream. Why? Because they have committed Keys&co to be a kingdom space; a place where God is pleased to dwell; a ‘Bethel’, where heaven touches earth. Mylene, Thierry and Stéphanie are praying daily that Keys&co will serve the purposes of God in Caen. They want their café to be successful, because their mission needs to be sustainable, but the goal is the kingdom – life brought to the city; the wisdom of God made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms. Keys&co is as vital a part of God’s strategy for the city of Caen as is the church we are working to plant there, and we have prayed for it in that light.
